Tam Cốc-Bích Động

Tam Cốc-Bích Động

Vietnamese:Tam Cốc-Bích Động
Address: Ninh Hải, Hoa Lư District, Ninh Bình Province, Vietnam

Tam Cốc-Bích Động

The name Tam Coc means “3 Caves”, Hang Ca, the first cave, is 127 meter long; Hang Giua 70 meters; and the third, Hang Cuoi, is only 45 meters. The boat trip takes about 2 hours and tickets are sold at the small booking booth by the car park.

Located 9 km southwest of Ninh Binh, Tam Coc is a network of 3 magnificent caves carved by Ngo Dong River as it winds through the karsts. It is often labeled ‘The Halong Bay of the rice paddies,’ in reference to similar karst formations that rise out of the South China Sea at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay.

Surrounded by paddy fields and dwarfed by the karsts towering above, a row down this river is an exotic, peaceful experience that allows visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of the area at a leisure pace.
