Most products of Vietnam’s fruits are from a number of orchards in Mekong Delta area. Almost every season, a variety of tropical fruits would be produced by farmers of this region and send to the markets of Hue, Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), and Hanoi.
For a lot of tropical fruits, their season is relatively short because they cannot be picked while they are green and they would not last long in storage where they rapidly lose their aroma.
The majority of fruits are usually available during the rainy season, from June to September in the South of Vietnam.
The people of this region are proud of the vastness and richness of their land. Nowadays, Mekong Delta area is one of the country’s highest producers of fruits, vegetables and rice crops.
