Honor Courtyard and Stele Pavilion Area, Tomb of Khai Dinh

All structures in this area served as memorial to the emperor, the stone sculptures of Mandarans, soldier, elephants and horses in the courtyard are one of the most distinctive collections of sculpture in Hue the obelisks, with the minarets shaped like south Asian stupas on both side of the courtyards, symbolize dynastic stability and majesty.

The large stele in the pavilion bears emperor Khai Dinh’s biographies written by his son, emperor Bao Dai.
