Bo Hon Island is a beautiful island in Halong Bay and one of the largest in the area. The island is best known for its hidden system of caves and grottoes.
This limestone island consists of towering limestone hillocks, and added attraction, Sung Sot Cave, the largest cave system in Halong Bay.
There is also a concentration of tall mountains with vertical cliffs that appear like citadel walls and are reflected in beautiful color on the sea.
The view from the mouth of Sung Sot Cave down to Bo Hon Bay is simply one of the most breathtaking in Halong Bay. There are various species of plants such as benjamin fig trees, cycads and orchids. The island is also home for a number of animal species, including monkeys, deer and chamois.
