Pai Memorial Bridge

The World War II Memorial Bridge was a historical construction built in 1942 by the Japanese to transport weapons and provisions to Myanmar during World War II.

The route from Chiang Mai to Pai and Mae Hong Son into Myanmar were still standing as a reminder of times past.

Today the bridge is one of Pai’s major tourist attractions and draws heavy traffic in the cold season.
