Cha Am

Cha Am

Province:Phetchaburi Province
Region:Western Thailand

Cha Am

Appearing to have been frozen in time warp, midway between remaining a Thai Style resort and modernizing to meet international tastes and requirements this extensive pine-fringed beach, located 160 kilometers from Bangkok, is considered to be one of the most popular beaches of Thailand.

Well known for its casuarina-lined beach, Cha Am is a favorite getaway for provincial Thai families on weekends and public holidays. Sandwiched 40 km south of Petchaburi and 25 km north of Hua Hin, this down-to-earth beach town allows its visitors to enjoy either the casual, untucked around the edges feel or the top end privileged vacation experience offered by many luxurious accommodations located along the white sand beach.

The charm of Cha Am, similar to its neighbor Hua Hin, lies not only in its long clean beach but also in its tourist attractions the city can offer. Frequent visitors to Cha Am will realize that the city boasts two main attractions: one cultural and another natural.
