Khao Sam Roi Yot literary means mountains of 300 peaks, which certainly describes the landscape of the area. The limestone hills of Tenasserim Hills rises directly at the shore of the Gulf of Thailand, with the highest peak of Khao Krachom stand 605m above sea level.
There are freshwater marshes lie between these hills. Several of the marshes were converted into shrimp farms, with only 36 km2 of the total 69 km2 of marshes are within the national park, and 18 km2 of the marshes are scheduled to be announcing a Ramsar site.
Hat Laem Sala and Hat Sam Phraya are 2 white sand beaches located in the park.
