Kaeng Krachan National Park is located on the eastern slope of the Tenasserin Mountain Range, where the highest mountain, Khao Panoen Thung, reaches 1,207 m above sea level with its main peaks stretch over to the border of Burma (Myanmar).
The terrain in this part of the park is covered by steep, rugged slopes with waterfalls, numerous caves and river gorges. The scenic view from the mountain top includes a breathtaking panorama of green forest, sunrises and sunsets, and the sea of fog formed when mists cover the valleys in the early morning.
