Monthatarn contains a beautiful waterfall running more than 30 meters down a cliff. The energy from the water impacting the base of the waterfall over millions of years has formed a deep pool. The area is surrounded by various plant species while ferns and mosses decorate the misty cliff.
The mist is also blown against the cliff beside the waterfall, providing sufficient moisture for specialized plants to grow in small cracks in the rock. On the left side isthe Montha tree (Talauma Candollei) which the waterfall is named after. The big tree with beautiful leaves and elegant fragrant flowers stands the picturesque composition of the waterfall.
