How to Get There
Once in Phang Nga province, go past the provincial offices outside of the main city on highway 4 heading to Tumbon Khok Kloi. After about eight Kilometers you will come to an intersection, proceed to the left on highway 4144. This will take you to Ao Phang Nga National Park. In about two Kilometers from the turn off, you will come to the National Park Headquarters; Go past it another two kilometers to the custom pier to the Visitor’s Information Center.
At the custom pier you should be able to rent a long-tailed boat to tour the whole bay in about three to five hours. After a day of exploring and site seeing rest at the bungalows next to the park office, but be sure to make reservations in advance with the Royal Forest Department.
This can be done either at the park Headquarters in the provincial town of Phangnga, or at the bungalow reservations office of National Park Division, the Royal Forest Department, Chatuchak District, Bangkok 10900. Instead of renting a bungalow many guests like to camp instead. This is permitted, but asks park officials for permission as to where you can pitch your tent.
