The styles of architecture and decoration suggest that Khao Khlang nai Monument was constructed under the influence of Dvaravati Buddhism. This monument revealed fine stucco motifs which are similar to those found at Khu Buo ancient town in Ratchaburi, Wat Nakhon Kosa in Lopburi, and the ancient town of Nakhon Pathom.
