Wat Worachetha Ram

The small ruins of Wat Worachetha Ram is located just north of the Reclining Buddha on the eastern edge of Ayutthaya.

According to the Ayutthaya Annals it was built about 1593 which was the year King Naresuan died leading a Siamese army to attack King Tong U in Myanmar.

Today the remains are a large brick and mortar Sukhothai style bell shaped Stupa, the Vihara and Ubosot buildings and several Buddha images in Brick covered with mortar.
