Prang Si Thep Ancient Monument

Khmer RuinsThis monument is square in shape and was built of brick with a laterite base. Its lotus-shaped top, carved from sandstone, has fallen off.

The Khmer’s association with Hinduism is reflected in the stylistic decoration of two lintels found here which also indicates that the monument was constructed around the 11th – 12th centuries A.D.

(during the late Bapuan to early Angkor Wat period).
