The Victory Gate of Angkor Thom is one of the five gateways into the ancient Khmer city of Angkor Thom, and the second most used gateway after the South Gopura.
Situated at the end of the Royal Road that extends from the compound of the Royal Palace of Angkor Thom, where the Terrace of the Elephants are located, past the towers of Prasat Suor Prat, as the road leads eastwards in the direction of Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda.
The Victory Gate is topped by giant stone faces in the four cardinal directions like the other gates of Angkor Thom.
Visitors leaving Angkor Thom through this Gopura will be able to visit a number of significant ruins, among them Ta Prohm, Ta Keo and Banteay Kdei.
