Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat, a World Heritage, is simply unique, a stunning blend of spirituality and symmetry, an enduring example of man’s devotion to his gods. Relish the very first approach, as that spine-tickling moment when you emerge on the inner causeway will rarely be felt again.

Angkor Wat is the largest and undoubtedly the most breathtaking of the monuments at Angkor, and is widely believed to be the largest religious structure in the world.

Angkor Wat is also the best-preserved temple at Angkor, as it was never abandoned to the elements, and repeat visits are rewarded with previously unnoticed details.

The preservation of the temples and their environment helps make your visit memorable while assuring your safety, some of the regulation below:

  • Do not climb on the structures, they are often unstable
  • Do not touch the bas-reliefs, sculptures and write graffiti on the stones or trees
  • Do not collect any material such as stones or fragments
  • Do not smoke inside the temples
  • Do no eat or bring drinks inside the temples and the surrounding areas

Angkor World Heritage Sites is a sacred area. Please respect this cultural site by wearing appropriate clothing at all times (bare shoulders and shorts are inappropriate).
