- Tell us a little bit about yourself, your work, study ?
Well I came to Thailand from India about 18yrs back to study Hotel and Tourism at Stamford International University Hua Hin campus, while in my second year at university I already got Management trainee offer at Eva-son resort and spa Hua Hin. So I used to study Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and then Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday work at Eva-son resort.
My passion to serve guest is the main reason I work in this Industry. You tend to meet and greet many international guest around the world. You learn different cultures, traditions and languages every day. I am a very happy go lucky guy and would like to make every person I meet feel the same way.
- Tell us a little bit about Novotel Hua Hin Cha Am Beach Resort And Spa, your position etc.
I joined Novotel last year in July 2017, in the position of Guest Journey Ambassador to take care guest both VIP and Long staying. But for me every guest in Novotel is VIP and I treat them same as any other VIP guest. I understand every individual has worked hard to enjoy the vacation here with us and they all deserve to be treated the same way as any guest expects.
Novotel Hua Hin Resort is fun resort especially for family with Kids as we have the biggest Slider in pool and the biggest kids club in the area. Parents can enjoy their private time in pool or in room while kids enjoy activities in Kids club. Our staff in kid’s club is well trained to take care kids and make sure they all have a great fun time with us.
My position also looks after guest activity during their stay with us. We offer a number of free activities to guest during the stay with us. One of the popular free activity is to visit the Local Morning Market every Friday morning in Cha Am city and learn how the locals enjoy morning breakfast and how the traders of seafood trade in market. I always try to give a WOW experience to all our guest to make sure they have enjoyed every bit of their stay with us. My day starts with greeting every guest in morning breakfast area and try to plan the daily activity for them.
- What are the best things to do in Hua Hin and Cha Am ?
I always offer guest to visit the local attractions in Hua Hin to understand the culture and the way the local live here. Some local attractions highly recommended will be the Monkey Mountain temple, Rajabhakti Park offering respect to the 7 greatest kings of Thailand. Local train station with its unique design, Plernwan old classic Mall, the Elephant Foundation to understand and study the lifestyle of an Elephant, Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park with its unique temple under the earth and many more local attractions.
Also a small walk on the beach to relax and get back to nature. Of course for golf lovers Hua Hin offer the best golf clubs in Asia and then winding up the day at the local Night Market for local souvenir shopping with a lovely dinner.
On the other hand, Cha Am is very quiet, but every guest visiting this area must visit the Wednesday Night Marketat Cha Am which is all about experiencing the local food and great atmosphere to understand Thai way of local shopping. This market is opened every Wednesday night from 5pm till 11pm and it’s near the train station. Cha Am is also popular for the beach front seafood restaurant to enjoy fresh seafood and local curries.
- What is the future of tourism in Hua Hin and Cha Am area ?
The future of these twin cities Hua Hin and Cha Am looks bright with more tourist coming in once we start the Hua Hin airport. As per the information till date flights will fly direct to Kuala Lumpur from Hua Hin and if all looks good then we will have more international flights flying in and out of Hua Hin in near future. This means more tourist and more revenue from tourism.
Finally, this means it will benefit the local traders in making a better lifestyle for them and for their children future.
Every Hotel should have a “Bunty” from Tripadvisor

Review of Novotel Hua Hin Cha Am Beach Resort and Spa
We had a room on the end of our floor which had a great view of the sea and of the hills behind the hotel. We were here for a week and loved our time here. The hotel guest relations manager circulated around the guests every day to make sure that we knew what was going on and to make sure we had everything that we needed. Bunty even organised a trip to the local markets and gave us a free guided tour. Every hotel should have a “Bunty” so that guests can take advantage of what the hotel and the local area have to offer. The hotel rooms are large and the bathrooms are also a good size and are functional. The internet is reasonably fast and was very reliable and available all throughout the resort.
The pool was excellent and there seemed to be plenty of sun lounges even on the busiest days. The room was well cleaned and we loved the option to take a credit for bypassing house keeping some days. Breakfast was reasonable for a large hotel and bar and dinner prices were reasonable. This area is quite remote which we liked but there are still a few restaurants outside the hotel which were quite good or Bunty will organise transport to downtown Hua Hin or Cha Am beach if required. There is a laundry service just outside the hotel for cheap and reasonable quality laundry service.
There are not many areas that require improvement but if I have to choose one then it would be breakfast. It was a bit of a free for all but you tend to find this more and more these days in Asia as more mainland Chinese become tourists. That is not an insult to Chinese tourists it is just a different cultural approach to eating at a buffet. My tip… join Accor Plus and purchase a room that gives you access to the Club Lounge.
The lounge is very nice, very quiet and has a great view out to sea. We usually don’t use hotel massage and Spa services but we did here at the Novotel and they were wonderful and reasonably priced. We also used our Green Room credits to pay for a great sports massage. In summary, I think that Bunty made all the difference to our stay. Every hotel should have a Bunty.
Room Tip: If you don’t qualify for a room on the Premier Floor then try to get a room on either end of the building. All rooms have a sea view.
