Lan Sang National Park
This national park is located in Han Lan Sang, Tambon Mae Tho, around 20 km away from Tak town. Being declared as a national park on 14 May, 1979, it covers an area of 65.000 rai. Geographically, it features a complex line of mountains.
The highest part is in the west. The ground slopes down to the east. Several streams run through the park, such as Lam Huai Lan Sang, Huai Tha Le, Khlong Huai Sai, Huai Umyom, etc. Various types of forest, such as rain forest, coniferous forest, hill evergreen forest, deciduous dipterocarp forest, and mixed deciduous forest, are found in different geographical areas.
Wild animals found are common wild pig, barking deer, Siamese big-headed turtle, serow, civet, Black-crested Bulbul, flying lizard, etc.
