Wat Khun Inthapramun, longest reclining Buddha in Thailand, Ang Thong
The largest Reclining Buddha in Thailand which is 50 metres long,
called Phra Si Muang Thong", can be found in this temple. Similar in style
to the Reclining Buddha at Wat Phranon Chaksi in Sing Buri. This image
might have also been build during the Sukhothai period.
This temple was once razed to the ground and was left abandoned for
more than a hundred years. King Borrommakot of Ayutthaya ordered the
reconstruction of this temple during his reign, records show that King Rama
V (King Chulalongkorn The Great) of Bangkok visited the temple twice. It
is one of the most important temple in Ang Thong province.
